Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the best exercise for women going through perimenopause and menopause?
Strength training is one of the most beneficial forms of exercise for women during perimenopause and menopause. It helps maintain muscle mass, supports bone health, improves strength and helps maintain a healthy body composition. Combining resistance training with cardiovascular exercise, mobility and flexibility work provides a well-rounded approach to health and fitness. At Inspired Fitness Solutions, our sessions are designed to help women build strength, improve fitness and feel more confident at every stage of life.
2. Can personal training help with menopause weight gain?
Yes! Exercise, particularly progressive strength training, combined with balanced nutrition can help women manage body composition changes during menopause. As hormones change, maintaining muscle mass becomes increasingly important. Our training and nutrition programs focus on building strength, supporting healthy habits and creating sustainable results rather than quick fixes or restrictive diets.
3. I've never exercised before, or I'm really unfit. Can I still join your group training?
Absolutely! You don't need to be fit to get started. Our outdoor group personal training sessions cater for different fitness levels, from beginners through to more experienced participants. Exercises can be modified to suit your individual ability, and you'll receive guidance and encouragement along the way. Everyone starts somewhere!
4. What does your Menopause Reset program include?
Our four-month Menopause Reset combines outdoor group personal training, online exercise options, whole-food nutrition support, educational resources and ongoing accountability. The program focuses on building strength, supporting gut health, improving nutrition, maintaining muscle and developing sustainable lifestyle habits. You'll also have the support of a community of like-minded women who are working towards feeling stronger and healthier.
5. What should I eat during perimenopause and menopause to support my hormones and energy?
Nutrition plays an important role in supporting your health through midlife. A balanced diet containing adequate protein, fibre, vegetables, fruit, healthy fats and a variety of whole foods can help support muscle health, digestion, bone health and overall wellbeing. Our nutrition education focuses on practical, achievable changes that you can maintain long term, without complicated meal plans or restrictive dieting.
